The ‘sleepimage’ file is just what it sounds like, it’s what your Mac had in it’s memory when the machine went to sleep, creating an image of your Mac’s previous memory state. When your Mac wakes from sleep, the content of sleepimage is read again and placed back into active memory, and your Mac is returned to the state that it was in prior to sleeping. Note that Subler uses a process called muxing to inject the subtitles into your video file without any new encoding, and it simply edits the file that you open and saves it with the same name. For this reason, you may want to make a copy of your video before starting this process.

Subler allows you to change a few characteristics for selected video or audio tracks. You can change a video's resolution, aspect ratio and offset, increase or decrease the audio track's volume, assign a subtitle track and more. It is also possible to insert chapters every few minutes in the video's timeline.
HINT: Once you've learned to use Subler to create an [reStructuredText] file - one of the subtitle file formats that movie/video/DVD applications commonly support - save & back up that file (as or - either way, you'll have your painstakingly created subtitle data at hand for re-use) - and then (should you so desire) you can use this initial subtitle file as a template for creating future ones. This way, if you forget what you did and how you did it, you need not reinvent the wheel!
